Top Week 1 College Football Game Odds:
Clemson Tigers -6 vs Auburn Tigers
A big time matchup gets things started in week 1 with the BCS Tournament’s runner-up last year, the Clemson Tigers, will represent the ACC against the Auburn Tigers from the SEC. Clemson took a huge hit to the NFL draft this year, losing a lot of big time playmakers, but still enters the game favored by 6. Both teams are very successful recruiting schools, and many expect Clemson to continue their ascent into the ranks of college football’s elite with another stellar year.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish -4 vs Texas Longhorns
Two teams that have gone in opposite directions over the last decade, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Texas Longhorns. Texas used to be a perennial powerhouse of a football team, and now they open up the 2016 as 4-point underdogs to a Notre Dame team that has steadily improved under head coach Brian Kelly. The Longhorns will try to turnaround their recent lackluster performances and get off to a winning start against a very tough Fighting Irish team.
LSU Tigers -3 vs Wisconsin Badgers
The Big Ten will take on the SEC when Les Miles and his LSU Tigers take on the Wisconsin Badgers to kickoff week 1 of the NCAAF season. Both teams finished the season ranked in the Top-25 of college football, and will both be carrying BCS aspirations into their 2016-’17 campaigns.
Ole Miss Rebels +6 vs Florida State Seminoles
Another great SEC vs ACC showdown to kickoff the opening week of the season. Both teams saw some high-power weapons taken in this year’s NFL draft, including two top-15 picks: Jalen Ramsey for the Seminoles, and Laremy Tunsil for the Ole Miss Rebels. As two perennial SEC and ACC contenders, these two teams are always reloading, as opposed to rebuilding, which should set the stage for a big time week 1 showdown to start their 2016 seasons.
Other notable Week 1 College Football Odds:
North Carolina +5 vs Georgia
Oklahoma -5.5 vs Houston
Missouri +5.5 vs West Virginia
UCLA +3 vs Texas A&M
